I just using one of those last week. You can set the speed down to 24 steps per minute to with. I am up to 10 minutes at that speed. That machine gives you more of a strength workout than the elliptical or the treadmill. I usually do 2 hours on the treadmill on my cardio day. I would do a little on the step mill and a lot on the treadmill or elliptical. The key to weight loss is diet and burning calories. The more moderate machine may be better for you at your current weight.
