If you thought that EA Sports had captured the realistic feel of playing a football game, you will be taken aback by this year’s new release of Madden 2011. The cover is donned by last year’s Super Bowl MVP Drew Brees, just a side note. EA sports has always been a premier catalyst for realistic movements in games, but this year there are new twists. New Kicking Meter In the old Madden games, it became comparatively easy to make field goals, no matter of your position on the field. As long as your kicker had good length strength, you could just intent and kick. However, the manufacturers of Madden have in the long run realized this and made kicking take a little more concentration. The kicking power and accuracy are both determined by the X button. So now you ought to press X to stop an indicator to undertake and attain the adequate power and precise accuracy. Doing this well requires practice. But there’s more.. New Speed and Acceleration Technique Yes, technique is the new word. Madden 2011 is not like the former games where plainly pressing and freeing the sprint button gives you instant speed or instant deceleration. Now you have to hold the sprint button to grant your speed to increase, and freeing the button will concede your player’s speed to decrease. This is essential because if you try to sprint and make a tackle, you could be going too fast, and miss the tackle for being out of control. Also if you are running the football, you want to expect when the hole will open up, so on occasion running without pressing the sprint button is the best options. In the former two games it was less of an issue if you sprinted all the time. This changes with Madden 2011. New Method for Pre-Snap Audibles Out of all of the improvements, this one was most difficult to grasp. Since the birth of the PS3 and XBox 360, Madden’s pre-snap adjustments have been the same buttons. Now there is a new style for adjusting, and you have to use the directional buttons. This takes some getting applied to, but after playing for a few weeks, I have actually noticed that I am competent to adjust even rapidly and without delay than the former Maddens. That being said, if you want to get good at pre-snap adjustments, it will take a little bit of practice. These are fundamentally the top 3 new things with regards to Madden this year. But let it be known that those who applied to be the greatest Madden 2008, 2009, or 2010 players will need to get a copy of 2011 if they want to uphold that prestige. I consider myself a finelooking good Madden player, but my primary game versus the cpu, I lost the game 44-3 (playing on difficultness All-Madden). I won’t be losing again like that anytime soon, but this gives you an idea of the affect of the new techniques. However, I will reiterate that after you learn how to play this new Madden, you will also agree that these are EA Sports best improvements since doing away with QB vision. |
