Mike Tyson Wants To Fight You (With Or Without A Hangover)
SoBe and iPhone game developers, RockLive, are giving consumers a chance to train with former heavyweight champ (and The Hangover actor) Mike Tyson via a new SoBe-inspired game within the current Mike Tyson: Main Event experience. As part of SoBe’s “Try Everything Challenge,” a free new mini-game within the existing iPhone game app is challenging “thirsty gamers to compete for the ultimate must-try experience – the chance to train with the boxer this fall in, where else, Las Vegas.”
The “Try Everything Challenge” adds Tyson to other celebrities in the campaign, including actress Hillary Duff and model Kate Upton. For a chance to win the grand prize, players must record the highest score on the SoBe leader board as of Aug. 21

Topps Now Playing Ball With GMG Entertainment
Topps, the iconic company famous for its cardboard trading cards and gum of undetermined substance, continues to push into the digital and e-trading card space with acquisition of GMG Entertainment. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Founded in 2002, GMG Entertainment is a leading provider of digital currency products and services, working with such companies as Facebook, the NFL, Atari, NBC Universal and THQ. The digital currency market is projected to top $7 billion during in 2011 and double by 2014, according to market research firm In-Stat. Topps has been a player in the e-trading card category via its eTopps division and other on-line initiatives.
Topps CEO Ryan O’Hara said Topps’ intent was to “expand the brand’s portfolio while entering the Digital Currency retail space. [In addition] Topps will bring manufacturing, design and collectability skills to digital currency cards.”
Venus Williams Joining WNBA . . . For Jamba Juice
Jamba Juice has unveiled a “Team Up for a Healthy America” campaign intended to help “raise awareness of our nation’s obesity epidemic.” The effort will encourage consumers to pledge to make “simple changes to eat more healthy and become more active can lead to an overall improved lifestyle.”
Among the Jamba Juice spokespersons who will participate are tennis star Venus Williams and current and past players from the WNBA, including Alana Beard, Tangela Smith, Angel McCoughtry, Ruth Riley, Nicole Powell, Tina Charles, Candice Dupree, Michelle Snow, Rebekkah Brunson and Ticha Penicheiro. Williams recently opened her first Jamba Juice store (in Bethesda, Maryland) and is expected to open four additional stores over the next two years in the D.C. Metro area.
Jamba Juice is sweetening the effort by offering prizes to consumers who participate and also by making donations based on the achievement of pledge milestones in support of partner-sponsored initiatives that promote healthy, active lifestyles such as physical activity programs, school gardens, and nutrition education.
