Francis Cheka meets visiting Kenyan counterpart Daniel Wanyonyi in a non-title boxing bout to be staged at the Jamhuri Stadium in Morogoro today.

The middleweight ten round contest is sanctioned by the Tanzania Pugilistic Boxing Organisation, TPBO.

The CHEKA-Wanyonyi main card will be preceded by several undercard fights featuring upcoming boxers.

The under card fights to precede the Cheka-Wanyonyi bout are Deo Njiku vs Allan Kamote, Juma Afande vs Ramadhan Mkundi and Bakari Mohammed vs Seba Temba.

Cheka’s young brother, Cosmas is paired against Njiri Waziri in another curtain raiser boxing show.

The boxing coordinator Clifford said spectators will be entertained ahead of the Cheka- Wanyonyi contest.

Ndimbo said preparations for the event are complete as fans are expected to line up for tickets.

This is Cheka’s first fight for the season since the New Year’s Eve in Dar es Salaam.
